Deposit Specialist (Medical Billing) – Olympia Orthopaedic Associates
Location: Olympia, WA
In-person training, potential for remote work after (MUST STILL BE A RESIDENT OF WA STATE)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24-$36.22 per hour (pay is determined based on years of experience)
Summary of benefits:

Deposit Specialist Job Duties:
The Deposit Specialist plays a vital role in the financial operations of our orthopedic group, with a primary focus on the accurate posting of patient and insurance payments using Athenahealth Collector. This role is responsible for managing daily deposits, processing refunds, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining the integrity of revenue cycle activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Deposit Specialist Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or healthcare revenue cycle operations, preferably within a clinical or specialty practice setting.
- Familiarity with insurance reimbursement processes, EOB interpretation, and healthcare payment workflows.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using Athenahealth Collector or a comparable practice management system is strongly preferred.
