About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
• Schedule: 2x a week at 2hr sessions
• Hourly rate between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Bilingual in [Insert Required Languages, e.g., English and Spanish]
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Background in education, special education, speech/language support, or a related field.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging, level-appropriate lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Calm demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering student confidence and independence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with early literacy and math instruction.
• Familiarity with assistive learning tools and strategies.
• Knowledge of functional academics and life skills instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in literacy and math aligned to the student’s developmental and functional levels.
• Support vocabulary development, early reading skills, writing, and language comprehension.
• Reinforce core math concepts such as number sense, counting, and simple operations.
• Foster communication and functional academic skills relevant to daily life.
• Create a calm and encouraging learning environment that respects sensory sensitivities.
• Adjust instruction based on the student’s needs; an initial assessment may be used to guide planning (optional).
• Communicate progress and strategies with the student’s family as needed.
