 Job Summary

The Contracting and Strategic Sourcing Analyst provides essential support to the contracting and procurement functions by managing contract renewals, analyzing spend data, and maintaining vendor and subscription records. This role serves as a key liaison between the Contracting and Strategic Sourcing team, Accounts Payable, and business units to ensure seamless coordination of contract-related activities. Responsibilities include generating reports, tracking contract renewal obligations, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives through data-driven insights. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track, communicate, and manage contract renewals in collaboration with business areas; ensuring timely notifications and follow-ups to avoid lapses in contract coverage.
  • Maintain and submit invoices for entity-wide subscriptions, ensuring accuracy and timely payment, working closely with Accounts Payable.
  • Function as a liaison with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and payment issues.
  • Ensure timely creation and increases of purchase orders tied to contracts.
  • Run reports for business areas and sourcing team to support contract and vendor management decisions.
  • Prepare vendor spend data and detailed reports to assist in identifying competitive sourcing opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate contract data, ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Support the entry of vendor records in contract management systems and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts for signature in accordance with the Statement of Delegated Authority (SODA).
  • Assist in ensuring alignment with sourcing and compliance standards; participate in cross-functional meetings and projects as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and terminology relating to contract development and administration.
  • Provide as-needed general legal support to the law department and serve as a liaison between departments to identify areas of concern, conduct research and answer questions. May provide support with organizing/preparing corporate books and records, responding to due diligence requests and support with entity management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.    

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2 years of equivalent experience in a data analytics, business, legal, finance, or procurement-related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization) and Office 365 tools, experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad) is a plus.
  • Experience working with Accounts Payable or vendor invoice processing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
