JOB SUMMARY

As an Engineering Intern at Marki Microwave you will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled engineers who design, develop and manufacture cutting-edge high frequency RF products.  Internship activities vary by experience and technical knowledge. Juniors/Seniors/Grad students typically work hands-on in support of new products, bench test characterization and/or production test development, and assembly and/or production automation process development.     Freshman/Sophomore students will start off participating with production testing to learn more about the RF/Microwave field. Depending on your skills and interests we can define a project/activities that makes the most of your experience with us.  This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in high frequency RF component engineering through a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, dynamic company.  All internships are 10 weeks duration. Internship dates are from 6/22/2026 to 9/4/2026. All interns must be available for the entirety of the internship dates in order to be considered.

This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§ 730-780),and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§ 120-130), and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC § 1324b(a)(3)).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Juniors/Seniors/Grad students 

  • Provide hands-on support for the assigned Marki RF engineering project.     
  • Work with the engineering team to meet project objectives.
  • Manage priorities and communicate regularly with your Manager on progress and challenges.
  • Ask questions and follow instructions as required to be able to execute tasks assigned to you.
  • Analyze and summarize collected data, and work with the team to investigate and resolve problems.  
  • Present results to the engineering team at the conclusion of the internship via a readout meeting.
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.

 

Freshman/Sophomore students 

  • Learn how to calibrate Vector Network Analyzers and use Power Meters, Power Sensors, and Signal Generators
  • Gain expertise on how to assess performance of RF/Microwave components through S-Parameters and other non-linear parameters
  • Participate in the testing of RF/Microwave products
  • Contribute to other Engineering activities as appropriate
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • College undergraduate studying Electrical Engineering with an interest in RF, Mechanical Engineering or related field required. 
  • Strong academic record (minimum GPA 2.8).
  • Good understanding of RF components (Mixers, Passives, Amplifiers, Switches) and the theory behind RF/Microwave testing is required for candidates interested in working on new product development or characterization/testing.
  • Good understanding or experience of RF electronics manufacturing processes is preferred for those looking for projects in manufacturing assembly and automation process development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere.
