Job Description
Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs
Stockley Park, 3 days a week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Medical Strategy Team with a focus on Multiple Myeloma. In this role, the right candidate will receive a great opportunity to be part of one of the recent most impactful medical advancements in patient care and an opportunity to work towards better outcomes for patients with haematological malignancies.
Your main focus will be to partner with the MM Lead and Regional Leads in Australia, Canada, Europe (ACE) & International Markets being responsible for a range of key projects that are aligned to business needs. These could include but not be limited to strategic development and overall tactical execution of Medical Affairs activities related to the lifecycle management of the product & where relevant early and late-stage pipeline launch indications. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Public Affairs, Marketing as well as with external clinicians and decision-makers.
This role will report to the Multiple Myeloma Strategy Lead.
Key responsibilities
- Partner within the Strategy Team to execute on required tasks and activities, deputising for them when required
- Partner closely with regional teams ensuring strategic and tactical pull through in an appropriate manner
- Execute on tactics such as advisory boards, publications, training etc. as needed
- Provide vision and direction for the assigned disease area, drive the development and execution of the cross-functional product and disease strategy
- Partner with members of the extended Global Medical Affairs team such as RWE, Scientific Communication, Publications to provide input, direction and review of materials
- Capture insights on the assigned therapy area systematically, both internal and external, and be able to translate these insights into actionable activities for the therapy area
- Provide guidance for the development and execution of the disease strategy, the medical Plans of Action (POAs) and cross-functional projects
- Participate in the exchange with the medical community and maintain a thought leader network
- Collaborate effectively and in a compliant manner with colleagues in other functional areas, e.g. Clinical Research, Sales and Marketing, Market Access, PVE
- Represent Global Medical Affairs to external and internal stakeholders, including groups of experts, medical professional groups, societies, regulatory groups and at national and international scientific meetings
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- M.D. , Pharm. D, PhD or qualification in Life Sciences, Immunology, or Oncology
- Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with an expertise in cell therapy and Multiple Myeloma
- Proven track record within Medical Affairs
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environment
- Proven ability to work across a cross functional matrix
- Self-starter with “can do” attitude
- Basic knowledge of budget and account management
- Able to travel to domestic and international conferences (travel 35%)
