Your Role: 

 The Senior Housing Coordinator is a full-time, permanent role supports students from colleges and universities across the United States, ensuring they have an exceptional experience while studying abroad. This role requires confidently leading the daily operations of housing management, supporting students, and building positive relationships with housing vendors and homestay families. 

The position involves overseeing all aspects of student housing and requires a highly skilled administrator with excellent project management abilities. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking for diverse responsibilities, exposure to various areas of international education, and the fulfillment of helping students grow and succeed during their time abroad. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

Housing Management

  •  Monitor and anticipate housing needs based on enrollment. 
  • Handle vendor negotiations, contract supervision, and budget adherence. 
  • Manage housing logistics, including maintenance, vacancy minimization, and damage resolution. 
  • Oversee housing evaluations and maintain high service standards. 
  • Record and manage housing-related data, including costs, incidents, and vendor evaluations. 

 

Student Support

  • Address daily student housing needs and manage escalated and non-escalated issues. 
  • Coordinate student housing policy enforcement and update case records. 
  • Facilitate apartment visits, check-ins, and check-outs to ensure smooth transitions. 
  • Provide orientation support, guided activities, and cultural acclimatization assistance. 

 

On-Call and Emergency Services

 

  • Rotate on-call duties, responding to emergencies and providing immediate assistance. 
  • Address urgent student concerns with professionalism and authority. 

 

Vendor and Facilities Coordination

  • Maintain relationships with landlords and property managers. 
  • Organize and oversee facility maintenance and supply management. 
  • Prepare housing for student arrivals, ensuring readiness and quality standards. 

 

Cultural and Academic Integration

  •  Guide academic integrated activities, excursions, and local cultural engagements. 
  • Actively assist during major events like orientations, arrivals, and farewells. 

 

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.   
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and encouraging professional growth.   
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.   

 

Financial Management

  • Assist in budget development and financial oversight to meet strategic goals while ensuring resources are used effectively.   
  • Monitor and implement cost-control measures.   
  • Oversee timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments related to housing.   

 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Work in close partnership with location and functional leadership and input into the location strategy relative to housing. 

 

What Makes a Great Candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with students, particularly international students.   
  • Familiarity with local cultural, social, and housing landscapes. 
  • Proficiency in software systems for data and case management (e.g., Salesforce). 
  • Ability to work with diverse identities. 
  • Experience living or working abroad, with knowledge of the local culture, history, and business practices. 
  • Knowledge of the U.S. higher education system 
  • Authorization to work in the location of the role.
