Job Description:

Note: These are part-time Support positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026, and ending on April 17, 2026.

Note: These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6.

Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the part-time Technologists support student learning in lab and simulation-based activities within the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant Programs at Fanshawe College. These positions are responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences and ensuring a safe, organized, and effective lab environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the delivery of simulations using standardized skill sheets  

  • Performing data entry and evaluation using checklists  

  • Setting up and dismantling skill stations  

  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols and control standards 

  • Provide tutoring and support with hands-on skills to facilitate student learning and success  

Qualifications:  

  • Graduate of a 1 or 2-year Occupational Therapist Assistant and/or Physical Therapy Assistant program from a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma program

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience

  • Current work experience in either an Occupational Therapist Assistant and/or Physical Therapy Assistant role preferred

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered   

  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail

  • A strong commitment to student engagement and success 

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently 

  • Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds 

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment 

  • Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an asset
