Job Description:
Note: These are part-time Support positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026, and ending on April 17, 2026.
Note: These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6.
Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the part-time Technologists support student learning in lab and simulation-based activities within the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant Programs at Fanshawe College. These positions are responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences and ensuring a safe, organized, and effective lab environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the delivery of simulations using standardized skill sheets
Performing data entry and evaluation using checklists
Setting up and dismantling skill stations
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols and control standards
Provide tutoring and support with hands-on skills to facilitate student learning and success
Qualifications:
Graduate of a 1 or 2-year Occupational Therapist Assistant and/or Physical Therapy Assistant program from a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma program
Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience
Current work experience in either an Occupational Therapist Assistant and/or Physical Therapy Assistant role preferred
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
A strong commitment to student engagement and success
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an asset
Educational Credentials
