Position Summary: Licensed RN who is responsible for the coordination and allocation of beds and other resources within the hospital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the House Supervisor to ensure that patients are placed in the most appropriate care setting based on their needs
- Works closely with EVS staff to ensure beds are clean and available for patients to be placed in
- Constantly monitoring/tracking hospital admissions including but not limited to ED Admissions, Direct Admissions, Surgical/Post-procedural Admissions, as well as Internal and External Transfers.
- Continually monitoring discharges and patient movement within the hospital to accurately gather and assess bed availability across all units.
- Resources appropriately to ED and/or Case Management to gather additional information needed to place patient appropriately
- Identifies unit most appropriate for patient placement, messages receiving unit to give patient information
- Utilizes nursing guidelines, protocols and policies to ensure patient placement on a unit with appropriate skill level.
- Collaborates with House Supervisor to safely and appropriately staff the unit based on acuity.
- Communicates with nursing management, other staff or other departments regarding patient placement issues.
- Collaborates with appropriate departments and members of the health care team, for swift and effective placement of patients.
- Facilitates appropriate action when unsafe environmental factors are identified.
- Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
- Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- Currently licensed as registered nurse in State of Illinois
- BSN/BS
- At least 3-5 years of nursing experience
- CPR certified

Afternoons - 12 hours, 11a-11p, Monday- Friday No weekends, rotating holidaysDepartment:

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
The expected pay for this position is listed below:
