POSITION:????Dietary Assistant
REPORTS TO:???Executive Director/House Manager
JOB SUMMARY:?The Dietary Assistant is responsible for taking the correct meals to the serving table and washing dishes. Have an understanding of dietary restrictions and altered diets. No other duties can be performed by the Dietary Assistant. This position is responsible for representing Frontida well and promoting its culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:?Must complete probationary period successfully. Must have CBRF Dietaryand Serv Safe training. Ability to take correct meals to the serving table and wash dishes. Desired: High School Diploma or equivalent.
DUTIES:
The Dietary Assistant will be responsible for the below job duties and functions are limited to these listed duties:
• Represent Frontida with professionalism, always embracing Frontida’s culture, which includes “treating others as you would like to be treated.”o Cleaning as you go o Keeping the pantries clean and well organizedo Use clean washcloths throughout the day to keep counter tops and cooking surfaces sterileo Ensure all dishes are cleaned by the end of shift and garbage is removed prior to departure from shift.
• Bring correct meals to serving tables and collect dishes from the serving tables once meals are finished.
• If there are any issues or concerns, it should immediately be shared with supervisory staff.
• Excellent customer service skills, be courteous, professional, work well as a team and be compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents, as well as their family members, and other guests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.• Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.• Full function of hands and arms• Occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds.

Ability to serve meals and assist the residents in eating, as well as be able to operate kitchen equipment and maintain clean, safe and orderly food preparation and storage areas. Desired: High School Diploma or equivalent.
