JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager, Director and Vice President, the Registered Respiratory Care Therapist performs all duties of a Certified Respiratory Therapist, as well as takes an active roll in in service education and orientation programs. Works closely with the Respiratory Care Specialist in the evaluation of respiratory care modality efficacy and protocol programs. The Registered Respiratory Care Therapist interprets information and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, performs simple mathematical computations, uses problem solving techniques, good interpersonal skills and organizational skills. The Registered Respiratory Care Therapist provides care appropriate to the age of the patient, including the unique physical and psychological needs of the neonate (if applicable), pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information necessary to provide safe quality care.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: Full-time 72 hours per 2 week pay period

Registered Respiratory Therapist
Education:
-Successful completion of a two (2) year AMA approved program or equivalent. Accredited by CoARC for respiratory care.
-High School Diploma-required
Certifications & Licensures:
Registered as Respiratory Therapist by receiving a passing score on the NBRC Registration Exam. Licensed by the State of Missouri as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Respiratory Therapists trained for the NICU are required to have the NRP credential. Respiratory Therapists trained for the adult ICUs and/or the Emergency Room will be required to hold the ACLS credential.
BLS Certification
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year related respiratory care experience- preferred
OR
Certified Respiratory Therapist
Education:
Must have successfully completed a one or two year AMA approved program accredited by the CoARC for respiratory therapy.
High School Diploma Required
Certification & Licensures:
Is certified as a Respiratory Therapist according to a passing score on NBRC certification exam. Licensed by the State of Missouri as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Respiratory Therapists trained for the NICU are required to have the NRP credential.
Respiratory Therapists trained for the adult ICUs and/or the Emergency Room will be required to hold the ACLS credential.
