Make a Difference - What You'll Do
Perform a variety of tasks up to and including: the retrieval, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, storage, and delivery of medical and surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. The work is performed in accordance to established and detailed practices and industry standards
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications .
• Must possess knowledge of surgeon preferences, procedures, instrumentation, equipment and decontamination/sterilization.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) preferred upon hire, - if hired without certification must be obtained within one year of hire date and must have two years of experience in a similar sterile processing position in an operating room setting
• Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
• Must be able to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated.
• Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
