Position Summary As a CNA, you’ll provide daily care and support to residents in accordance with Holland Home’s policies and under the direction of nursing leadership. You’ll play a vital role in promoting dignity, comfort, and well-being for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene

• Monitor and document changes in residents’ physical and mental condition

• Support residents during meals and snacks, including feeding assistance

• Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises

• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests

• Maintain a clean and safe environment

• Participate in training, meetings, and in-service programs

• Build trusting relationships with residents and families

• Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and Holland Home’s Code of Conduct

• Use Positive Approach to Care™ techniques in all interactions

Additional Duties

• Assist with onboarding new CNAs

• Transport residents to meals, appointments, and activities

• Support clinical tasks such as vital signs and specimen collection

• Follow infection control protocols and report safety concerns

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

• Current Michigan CNA certification

• BLS and First Aid certification (prefered)

• Experience with elderly populations preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Accurate documentation and attention to detail

• Physical ability to assist residents and meet job demands

• Commitment to attendance and health standards
