JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Nurse Manager is a dual-role leadership position responsible for managing and educating all licensed and technical staff within the CRU. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development across nursing, pharmacy, and technical teams. The incumbent will lead clinical operations, supervise staff, and design and implement training programs that align with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH, HIPAA, and 21 CFR standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Management
- Direct daily clinical operations, ensuring protocol adherence and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise licensed staff (RNs, LPNs) and technical personnel (Sleep Techs, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure adequate staffing and facility readiness for clinical trials.
- Review protocols and guide staff in executing study-specific procedures.
- Ensure consistent clinical oversight across multiple CRU locations (e.g., NJ and NY).
Staff Education & Development
- Develop and deliver orientation programs for new hires across all clinical roles.
- Conduct ongoing competency assessments and in-service training.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with institutional and federal standards.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in clinical practice and staff performance.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Ensure consistent educational oversight across multiple CRU locations (e.g., NJ and NY).
Operational Leadership
- Participate in SOP development and implementation.
- Monitor and report on clinical performance metrics.
TRAVELING
Between Corporate New York location and New Jersey location, as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- RN license required; BSN or MSN preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH, HIPAA, and FDA regulations.
- Experience in staff training, curriculum development, and performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE) or equivalent.
- Experience managing multi-site clinical operations.
- Ability to lead change and drive quality improvement initiatives.
