Prairie Valley School Division is inviting applications for the position of Principal at Lipton School. Lipton School offers Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 programming to an enrolment of approximately 106 students. There is a professional staff compliment of 8.85 FTE teachers and 7.31 FTE support staff. Lipton School provides a strong academic program and supports students to become caring, competent, responsible citizens who value education and life-long learning. Lipton is located 91km northeast of Regina.

Education & Experience:
Candidates will have a Bachelor of Education, Professional A teaching certificate, a master’s degree in a related field (or willingness to obtain as a condition of employment) and demonstrated leadership experience. Experience as a school-based administrator is considered an asset.

Skills & Abilities:
By way of cover letter and resume, candidates will demonstrate experience in the 4 competency areas of learning leadership, human resource leadership, setting direction, and professional leadership attributes and orientation.

Leadership and management attributes include:

Building classroom capacity by consistently and effectively focusing on teaching and learning.
Leading teachers in and demonstrating understanding of the instructional cycle, responsive teaching and formative and summative assessment.
Establishing school-wide expectations and practices for grading and reporting.
Facilitating and monitoring the collection and use of various types of student learning data.
Promoting an inclusionary model to all students and staff.
Providing a collegial and collaborative school environment.
Providing a safe and harmonious working environment through engagement of crucial conversations.
Demonstrating a commitment to student learning and teacher growth through regular classroom visits.
Demonstrating understanding that the purpose of staff professional growth and supervision is to positively impact student learning.
Promoting leadership development by identifying, encouraging and supporting leadership aptitudes and abilities in all staff.
Demonstrating a commitment to reflective practice and own professional learning.
Creating a shared mission, vision and values for the school.
Establishing and communicating direction for school and division priorities.
Effectively communicating and leading change.
Providing a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Demonstrating high expectations for student academics and behaviour.
Building and sustaining productive relationships in a supportive, ethical, and collaborative manner.
Modeling trust, integrity and ethical behaviour.
Consistently demonstrating and modeling a commitment to competence and professionalism.

Term: Commencing December 1, 2025 and ends June 30, 2027.

Compensation & Assignment:
This position includes 100% administrative duties. Salary and benefits are outlined in the STF Provincial Collective Bargaining agreement and Local Collective Bargaining Agreement for teachers. The current administrative allowance is approximately $21,668.
