Durham Academy (DA) is accepting applications to fill the Middle School Operations Coordinator position. The Middle School Operations Coordinator reports to the Director of Middle School and is responsible for the smooth operation of the Middle School campus and program. This position works closely with many different constituencies including faculty and staff, parents and caregivers, and outside vendors.
This permanent 12-month position begins on January 6, 2026.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Middle School
Serve as first point of contact for Middle School families when they contact the school
Serve as first point of contact for Middle School students seeking assistance, including as a back-up for the school nurse
Manage and order supplies for Middle School programs, including the service of Middle School copiers and copier supplies
Manage substitute list and assist faculty/staff members in finding coverage when they need to be away from school
Coordinate logistics (busses, logistics, payment, etc) for school field trips
Manage budget, reconcile school credit card and other expenses
Maintain daily attendance records for students
Approve reservations for Middle School meeting rooms
Serve as a liaison between the Middle School and the DA Maintenance Team, Cleaning Staff, and Security Office
Organize Middle School functions: holiday gatherings, faculty retirement ceremonies, end-of-year celebrations, food for meetings, etc.
Work closely with MS Administrative Team to solidify and manage the All-School Calendar and MS Comprehensive Calendar
