Overview:

The Program Director facilitates meetings with leadership and stakeholders to address implementation challenges. The Program Director oversees and leads training initiatives, manage projects, and drive strategic efforts to enhance the overall effectiveness of the program. The Program Director is self-directed & can meet deadlines. 

Responsibilities:

 The Program Director/Director will be responsbile for the following: 

  1. Lead and manage the Fair Futures programs (Preventive and Foster Care) directing actvitiy and productivity to ensure processes and program areas are efficient in delivery according to funder and The Foundling's need
  2. Communication with Leadership and internal/external Stakeholders to ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and maintain strong performance indicators related to Utilization, Model Delivery, Staff Development and other core priorities identified by Model developer, NYF and Stakeholders.
  3. Conduct outreach and collaborations for Strategic Partnership development to ensure all business goals and objectives are reached according to funding and the Foundlings expectation.
  4. Conduct weekly Individual and monthly group Coaching and Mentoring to ensure that supervisors are receiving adequate guidance and opportunities to internal/external professional development and growth.
  5. Monitor program progress and performance, using data and feedback to make informed adjustments to ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, quality management, infrastructure to support and advance the services needed to meet funder and The Foundling's need.
  6. Promote a youth development philosophy and framework and work cross-divisionally to infuse youth development principals and skills across the program and agency
  7. Ensure that efficient administrative procedures are in place within the program and that financial and physical resources are effectively used
  8. Ensure all Supervisors, Coaches and Specialists receive the proper trainings, monitor youth goals & steps and key academic data monthly and ensure peer groups are in place and running effectively
Qualifications:
  1. The Program Director should have a master's degree in social work, education, or related field, significant experience working with at-risk or system-involved youth, and 3+ years of management experience
  2. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster innovation, and drive organizational change.
  3. Visionary leadership with a commitment to values and promotes diversity, able to remain calm during moments of tension and stress and a belief that change is possible
  4. Data Driven with strong understanding of managing by data
  5. Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future needs, identify opportunities for growth and develop effective solutions to complex challenges.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with community and stakeholders, ability to facilitate harmonious relationships among staff, and create a warm, inclusive, strength-based, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed culture
  7. Able to maintain healthy boundaries, provision of emotional support to staff to reduce stress and build resiliency, with developing strong relationships with young people
  8. Ablility to meet deadlines
