We are home to the best beaches in the world and known for our top ranked golf course. We are semi-private but also open to the public. Our Golf Academy provides the most intuitive golf lessons in Destin, powered by PGA Pros and Trackman Technology. We have premium Callaway Club Rentals Available.

Job Title: Golf Cart/Bag Attendant

Reports To:  Head Golf Professional

Summary: The Golf Cart/Bag Attendant is responsible for providing great customer service through attending to the golf bags of members and cleaning the club's golf carts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Greet and engage members and their guests in an enthusiastic and courteous manner
  2. Assist with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot
  3. Assist in the setup and execution of member tournaments and outings
  4. Provide sincere and courteous service to the members and their guests at all times
  5. Maintain the cart staging/storage area and bag drop in a neat and orderly fashion
  6. Prepare golf carts for play
  7. Assist in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play, etc.
  8. Perform range maintenance in a professional manner: present practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies and maintain ball inventory over the course of the day
  9. Maintain accurate records of members and their guests’ renting clubs
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience in customer service a must.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements 

Knowledge 

  • Passionate about hospitality.
  • Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset.
  • Multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate professionally the creative ideas and services offered.
  • Ability to handle multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

Other Qualifications 

Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. 

License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.

Rules and Regulations All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. Work Environment The physical environment requires the employee to work mostly outside which may include inclement weather.
