This Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our team! You’ll take ownership of project scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting across a variety of complex projects. Working alongside Project Managers and technical teams, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with Bay West’s high standards.

Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, maintain, and support project schedules and detailed cost tracking for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate, calculate, develop, input or update project budget information, changes, expenditure information, commitments and forecasts into the cost reporting system(s) and schedules
  • Update, monitor and Consult project(s) costs and progress; including coding and/or reviewing the coding of timesheets and invoices for accuracy
  • Provide cost, schedule and key performance indicator input to the monthly progress reports
  • Assist the Project Managers in providing accurate project forecasting
  • Assist in project setup, coding, and establishing project baseline 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Accounting or Finance
  • At least 3 years’ experience in scheduling environmental projects
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to work on fast-paced projects and supply a quality deliverable that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently, as well as a team-player.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Must be open to occasional travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal or environmental remediation projects.
