Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Foster and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the business and HR community.

  • Become a trusted partner and critical friend to local leaders.

  • Drive HR transformation and operational excellence activities in the area of responsibility.

  • Support the Head of HR in UK-wide initiatives.

  • Develop, coach, and advise managers and HR team members when dealing with employee relations issues in the area of responsibility and complex UK employee relations activities.

  • Manage performance management, attendance, conduct, and other employee relations issues of varying complexity to ensure business needs are met within the legal framework.

  • Develop and deliver employee relations skills-based training to enhance competency within the local organisation.

  • Act as the lead for local compensation and benefits.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

  • Review UK-wide benefits, policies, and practices.

  • Develop strategic recommendations to harmonise UK terms and benefits.

  • Oversee gender pay gap reporting and analysis.

  • Actively advise on all C&B elements and processes (annual merit, off-cycle, and achievement bonus).

  • Conduct UK people trend analysis and support action planning.

  • Support the identification and implementation of local organisational development and change initiatives, including entity mergers, harmonisation, and integration.

  • Lead or support local projects as defined by the Head of HR or Regional HR Director.

  • Support the development, updating, and implementation of UK policies and practices in line with local legislation, compliance, and business needs.

  • Lead local wellbeing initiatives and communications.

  • Work with local businesses on employee engagement initiatives to support cultural development in collaboration with BHR and global initiatives.

  • Identify core business competency needs and help design, implement, and deliver local solutions in conjunction with PSH and BHR.

  • Identify management and leadership development needs and support implementation through training, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Undertake other relevant activities as required in line with business and departmental needs.

  • Travel to relevant sites as required.
