Gritter Francona is looking for a Communications Specialist to help support the VHA with strategic communications.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop presentation materials, briefings, and memorandums for VHA Senior Leadership on topics such as VHA IT budget, IT governance, and SIM processes.
- Create and update the SIM Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Plan, including objectives, strategies, stakeholder identification, key messages, distribution plans, and evaluation methods.
- Produce quarterly internal newsletters and develop external communications like email announcements and reference guides illustrating SIM's Intake Process.
- Support the development and update of SIM communication products, including branding materials, toolkits, videos, elevator speeches, fact sheets, blogs, and briefing slide decks.
- Manage and support meetings on behalf of the EDO, including interaction with VHA Leadership, SIM's customers, Program Offices, Field Representatives, and other stakeholders to develop agendas, prepare materials, coordinate scheduling, meeting facilitation, decision-making process, and minute-taking.
- Coordinate meeting preparations for the VHA Business Owner Forum (BOF), including agenda development, presentation material consolidation, meeting facilitation, and action item tracking.
- Coordinate and develop updates for SIM Quarterly Strategic Briefs for All Hands Meetings, highlighting quarterly accomplishments, milestones, and risks for each SIM division.
- Provide change management support following the Prosci Change Management Framework to implement change management strategies to support program operations and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead and manage program management tasks for the EDO, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, including developing and maintaining the EDO Project Management Plan (PMP).
- Analyze SIM operations and make recommendations for process improvement.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions and workshops with leadership.
- Identify and report operational and project risks and mitigate assigned risks in accordance with the program's or project's risk management process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Previous VA experience is REQUIRED
