JOB SUMMARY: The Economic Support Worker is the first point of contact for our agency. In this critical role, you'll manage both in-person and phone interactions, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling a broad range of clerical tasks and supporting casework staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School graduate or equivalent AND 2. Six (6) months customer service experience AND 3. Successful completion of the county's data entry skills assessment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Your daily work in this role will involve client intake and support, including greeting clients, conducting basic electronic record research to verify status, explaining application procedures, and answering general questions about services. You'll determine eligibility for specific programs (like Prevention, Retention & Contingency) through interviews and required paperwork, obtain statements of need, and make necessary referrals. A key part of the job includes coordinating correspondence, handling and logging incoming documents, ensuring timely and accurate scanning into our electronic document management system, and maintaining program and system knowledge. This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between direct client interaction and detailed clerical work, all while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to agency policies and regulations.
