 Winter/Spring : January 6 – May 15 


The Miami Foundation is seeking an outgoing, approachable, and highly organized upper-level undergraduate student with a strong passion for college access and student support to intern with our Scholarships team.  


As a Scholarships Team intern, you will:

  • Help promote our scholarships program.
  • Lead engaging applicant workshops.
  • Support prospective students and actively incorporate student voices into daily work.
  • Share personal experiences to inspire applicants, and build meaningful
    connections across the community.
  • Track scholarship recipient progress.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to produce storytelling content. 
  • Help foster meaningful connections and share personal insights.  
  • Assist in creating a Student Advisory Council.
     

Learning Outcomes

  • Professional Communication: Demonstrate professional communication skills in written and verbal interactions with stakeholders.
  • Public Speaking & Facilitation: Confidence in leading workshops and inspiring prospective applicants.
  • Project Coordination: Apply organizational and planning skills to manage outreach and track progress.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationship building skills by working with students, fundholders, and community partners.
  • Community Engagement Insight: Gain insight into nonprofit operations and the impact of philanthropy on education.


Reports to Scholarships Officer.

Requirements

Upper-level undergraduate student

Must be able to commute to our downtown Miami office

15 hours per week. 

Salary Description
$20.00 per hour
