Your Tasks

You are passionate about biological skin research, working in an interdisciplinary team of biologists and bioinformaticians, translating newest scientific findings into consumer-oriented skin care concepts and products? Join our lab and identify new rejuvenation approaches for the skin!

                   

 

  • You will bring in and monitor the latest aging science and deduce innovative opportunities and intervention strategies counteracting skin aging.
  • You will initiate innovative screening projects to rejuvenate the skin based on scientifically substantiated findings and will steer them through all phases as a contact person for the research and development labs.
  • You will establish and maintain successful collaborations with external partners (such as universities, contract research institutes or startups).
  • You will supervise lab employees, postgraduate students, interns and apprentices and motivate them to excellent work.
  • You will share your enthusiasm for innovative skin research with others and present your findings and ideas to diverse target groups.

Your Profile

  • University degree in natural sciences, accompanied by a PhD; postdoctoral experience is an advantage
  • Profound expertise in skin biology, preferably with a focus on skin aging and rejuvenation, knowledge of relevant leading-edge methods as well as hands-on experimental expertise
  • Experience in cell culture, cell analytics (e.g. flow cytometry), functional analysis (e.g. CRISPR-Cas) and complex in vitro models
  • A strong expertise and interest in genome-wide analysis (metabolome/transcriptome/proteome)
  • Knowledge in conducting compound screening projects (target ID, assay development, screening, lead discovery)
  • A successful track record in initiating and managing innovation projects, interest in persuing a leadership/managerial career in the future
  • Experience in evaluating and writing patents would be an advantage
  • Authentic, dynamic and enthusiastic personality with innovation sourcing skills and a strong team orientation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English mandatory and in German preferred
