The Lebanon Valley College Department of Design, Media, & Technology department seeks an assistant professor of video, visual communications & social media.  The assistant professor is a visual storyteller and communicator who specializes in video and short-form video across communications fields—from social media to advertising, public relations, and emerging digital platforms. This is a full-time, nine-month, 3-year renewable position beginning in August 2026. This successful candidate will play a role in our video and communications curriculum by preparing digital media majors to create compelling visual narratives, adapt content for diverse audiences, and navigate rapidly evolving media environments that increasingly integrate AI-assisted workflows. Candidates must hold a graduate degree (terminal degree preferred) in Communications, Digital Media, or related field, demonstrated expertise in video/visual content creation and social media strategy, have strong creative/professional portfolio, experience in communications or digital media, familiarity with AI-assisted content creation, media analytics, and emerging platforms, and the ability to teach Information Law & Ethics is a plus.
