The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Analyst to join our team.  The Quality Analyst’s primary function will be to conduct process assessments on current production manufacturing processes and facilitate improvements through application of the quality principles derived from the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology. This approach to quality requires the utilization of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Initial Process Studies (IPS), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), and other Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.

Additionally, the Quality Analyst will:

  • Assist Manufacturing in improving process documentation via Process walks and process audits.
  • Facilitate the creation of Work Center FMEA’s to help reduce manufacturing risk.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce scrap and rework costs.
  • Aid in Root-Cause Analysis investigations to mitigate recurrence of non-conformances and escapes.
  • Analyze data to drive informed process failure mitigation efforts.
  • Engage in PPAP tracking, implementation, documentation, and approvals in accordance with company requirements.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and revision of Quality forms and operating procedures.
  • Support containment efforts of discrepant hardware.
  • Engage in 5S activities to improve general quality on the shop floor.
  • Advise and assist in ensuring adequate gaging strategy and systems are implemented in inspection areas and on the shop floor.
  • Assess production capability and facilitate production improvements.
  • Aid in Cell Certification of test equipment and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Education with focus in the area of quality or work experience with the APQP / PPAP process.
  • Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Readings (GD&T) and how to read drawing notes.
  • Analytical skills to conduct process studies and assess quality trends.
  • Have a quality mindset (high standards for all things to be lined up nice and tidy)
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.  Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
