ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Prepare and oversee food service to persons served 

ORGANIZING AND COORDINATING:  

Interfacing 

1. Communicates with program staff, vendors, clients, and community stake holders. 

2. Communicates with food service providers 

Monitoring 

1. Develops and posts menus 

2. Ensure food is appropriately maintained and prepared for consumption 

3. Maintain participant food intake reports and diets as prescribed by medical staff or as indicated in client records 

4. Monitor program food consumption 

5. Monitor food service equipment and report any failure or performance disruptions (refrigerator, dishwasher, freezer)

6. Ensure sanitizing and cleaning solutions and items are available for use when needed 

Direct Service 

1. Prepare and serve food to participants 

2. Wash, clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment 

3. Prepare and confirm food orders/purchases 

4. Report any food service issues to ICC Administrator or Direct Care Supervisor 

ADMINISTRATIVE:  

1. Documentation/Record Keeping /Daily Food Checklist 

2. Maintain copies of all menus

3. Agency Activities/Trainings/Other  OSHA, Food Sanitation, CPR, First Aid, others as required. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency required 

Experience: Some food service and custodial cleaning experience or the ability to be trained in  these areas.  

Credential: Food Sanitation License preferred or Food Handlers License
