Description
Overall responsibility: The HR Generalist oversees semi-monthly payroll processing, leads recruiting efforts, and supports the administration of employee benefits. The role requires a solid understanding of HR operations, payroll systems, and benefits compliance, with the ability to thrive in a tech-driven environment.
Payroll Administration
- Accurately process and manage semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
- Maintain detailed payroll records and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Research and respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and related matters.
Recruiting
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for U.S. positions, including sourcing, job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
- Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and track key recruiting metrics to support data-driven hiring decisions.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
- Manage employee leaves of absence and track FMLA, disability, and related programs.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and ensure compliance with ACA and other applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with benefits vendors and brokers to process enrollments, changes, and terminations.
General HR Support
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within the HRIS.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Assist with compliance reporting, audits, and policy documentation.
- Contribute to HR initiatives that promote employee engagement and strengthen company culture.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university plus a minimum five (5) years of experience in the specific or related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the field.
Other Experience:
- 5+ years of prior hands-on HR experience required.
- 2+ years of experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- 2-3 years of prior experience in full cycle recruiting.
- Proficient with HRIS and ATS platforms. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now helpful.
- Working knowledge of all pertinent federal and state law including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, unemployment and worker’s compensation, investigation processes, compensation processes and benefit programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficient use of MS Office products.
- Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP).
