Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Health Technical Services, is responsible for engineering the organization’s network & telephony environment.  Performs initial installation, upgrades, troubleshoots, and makes modifications to network, cabling, and system peripherals.

Job Duties:

Routine duties shall include providing health care services to individuals eligible for services in accordance with the self-governance compact and funding agreement between the Cherokee Nation and United States executed under the authority of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act.  Performs initial installation and upgrades of network, cabling, and system peripherals.  Troubleshoots and repairs problems in hardware and software operations on network systems and peripherals.  Maintains inventory of network and telephony equipment.  Installs, configures, and evaluates software and hardware on network systems and peripherals.  Replaces defective or inadequate hardware, cabling, and components.  Tests, de-bugs, or making modifications to existing system to increase efficiency.  Performs basic troubleshooting on telephony systems (Cisco VoIP / Nortel PBX) enterprise-wide.  Prepares, maintains, and adheres to procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring network data.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Other duties may be assigned.

No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

HEALTH NETWORK ANALYST I

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT 

An additional one year experience in a related field.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should have knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Position will be required to travel across the 14 counties to all facilities within the organization.

 

HEALTH NETWORK ANALYST II

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT 

An additional three (3) years experience in a related field.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should have knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.  Position will be required to travel across the 14 counties to all facilities within the organization.

 

HEALTH NETWORK ANALYST III

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT 

An additional five (5) years experience in a related field.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

An individual should have knowledge of Design software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.  Position will be required to travel across the 14 counties to all facilities within the organization

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Must possess a valid Cisco Certification and maintain certification.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
