Your Role: Senior Technical Product Manager - Data
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you’ll be the anchor in our product development engine — ensuring clarity, momentum, and accountability across teams.
Your mission: To drive delivery excellence while contributing to product direction and connecting execution to business impact.
This is not a strategy-only role. You’ll stay close to the details — refining the backlog, unblocking teams, and ensuring features are built right — while also stepping up to guide discovery, influence roadmaps, and enable go-to-market success. If you thrive on execution but want to scale your impact, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own the backlog: Prioritize and refine across multiple workstreams; ensure clarity and alignment with sprint goals.
- Write detailed stories & acceptance criteria: Define testable, high-quality stories that engineers and QA can confidently deliver.
- Lead execution: Drive agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retros), unblock teams, and keep delivery on track.
- Align cross-functional teams: Partner with engineering, QA, UX, research, and stakeholders to ensure clarity on goals and trade-offs.
- Connect execution to outcomes: Tie daily delivery to broader business, customer, and educational impact.
- Support product discovery: Participate in roadmap discussions, user research, interviews, and impact analysis.
- Champion iterative delivery: Release early, validate with users, and adapt based on feedback.
- Enable launches: Support go-to-market, internal enablement, and release documentation.
- Escalate and triage: Identify misalignments, tech blockers, or risks early and drive resolution.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong execution leadership: Proven ability to align teams, drive sprint success, and deliver under deadlines.
- Backlog ownership at scale: Experience managing complex backlogs across multiple teams or features.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Skilled at working with engineers, QA, UX, analytics, and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on with product tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro/Mural, Smartsheet; analytics tools (Pendo, Mixpanel, GA); design collaboration (Figma).
- Clear communicator: Strong written and verbal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptable: Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-moving environments.
- EdTech familiarity (preferred): Understanding of curriculum, assessments, student/teacher platforms, or learning tools.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.
- Experience leading agile product teams with backlog hygiene and iterative delivery best practices.
- Exposure to SaaS or EdTech platforms (strong advantage).
- Exposure to Data Governance, Data Integration and Data engineering would be great plus
- Certifications like CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, or CPM are a plus.
