The Salvation Army (Salvos) Youth Services encompasses a range of programs for vulnerable young people, their families, and the community. Our services have a strong focus on prevention and early intervention and enable access to safe accommodation options, Holistic case management, community outreach programs and programs that teach vital independent living skills. About the role
As an After-Hours Youth Support Worker, this is your opportunity to support the case management team in the ongoing implementation of case management plans and create a therapeutic environment within the crisis accommodation setting.
Reporting to the After Hours Client Services Coordinator, this is a casual position located in Shepparton, VIC.
How you will make an impact
- Create a safe, supportive living environment aligned with trauma-informed care principles
- Support residents in daily living tasks, life skills development and preparation for independent living
- Assist residents engaging with case plans and accessing relevant health ,housing, education and justice services
- Maintain accurate records, manage risk and ensure smooth program operations through effective communication and handovers
- Provide informal client support, identify service gaps and contribute to ongoing service improvement
What you will bring
- A Tertiary qualification in community services, social services or related field
- Demonstrated experience in a social service environment preferably the youth sector
- A current VIC Driver's Licence
- A valid Employee Working with Children’s Check

Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 3.
