The PM is responsible for driving the project so everything possible has been done to make sure it stays on schedule, under budget, and delivers what it committed to. You should have a full grasp of the project’s functionality, technical solution, why it’s needed, and its detailed status so they can explain any risks, issues, and mitigation to leadership during escalation. You should understand project standards and the required processes and assessments so they can guide the team through them.
The work:
- Responsible for project mobilization/setup, schedule management, budget management, risk management/escalation, making sure the team knows their roles and responsibilities, building/onboarding the team (with support from SMEs), coordinating with other AFS and non-AFS teams (e.g. LLP) as necessary, and driving any recurring meetings (e.g. standup, sprint planning, status meetings, retrospectives etc.), and more.
Here's what you need:
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience – including resource management, budgeting and scheduling
- JIRA experience setting up and managing
- Agile Scrum management and Waterfall/SDLC management
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
