Position Summary
The Live Accounting Clerk II supports the daily accounting functions within the Live Operations department. This role is responsible for processing breeder, pullet, and broiler settlements; entering vendor invoices; and maintaining accurate data and reports to support both the Live Support and Accounting teams. Working onsite provides the opportunity to collaborate directly with cross-functional partners, gain a deeper understanding of our live production process, and ensure accuracy and efficiency across every step.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all breeder, pullet, and broiler settlements accurately and efficiently.
- Enter vendor invoices and feed-related transactions into Live Accounting Software and Business Central.
- Maintain relationships with feed and service vendors to ensure timely, accurate payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with growers regarding settlement paperwork, payment questions, and upcoming production timelines (off feed and catch schedules).
- Run and distribute weekly and period-end reports, including grower performance summaries and cost analyses.
- Provide accounting with live data needed for reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Create and maintain farm records and Live Support filing systems.
- Assist the Live Support team with file management, compliance documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain and order departmental supplies as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in Accounting or Business preferred.
- One or more years of related experience in accounting, administrative support, or a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; basic familiarity with database systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
