Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district.  

 

The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. 

The Classroom Assistant will:

  • Perform paraprofessional instructional activities
  • Provide intensified learning experiences for students.
  • Provide a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

  DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:  

  • APPLICATION DEADLINE: Hiring Pool - open until filled. May close without notice.
  • LENGTH OF WORK YEAR:  Student Year Employee Calendar
  • WORK SITE:  Various Sites including San Onofre School and Mary Fay Pendleton School
  • WORK SCHEDULE:  Varies depending on site needs - up to 6 hours per day; up to 5 days/week (Monday-Friday)
  • BENEFITS: Substitute position - no district benefis provided
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; and either an Associate’s Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; experience working with diverse groups and cultures; one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable, supplemented by courses in childcare, supervision, psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.

The test is administered at the District Office in the Human Resources Department, at 321 Iowa Street, Fallbrook CA 92028. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF TESTING IS NOT COMPLETED.   • A proficiency test is not required if you have an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or at least 48 college units; however, proof of degree must be scanned and submitted (uploaded and attached) to your application.
  • It is the policy of this District that employment will be offered to successful candidates contingent upon satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening test, fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray.
