Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Oshkosh, WI. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while supporting our dedicated workforce.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor inventory controls and report on discrepancies
  • Month end close activities including reporting, journal entries and reconciliations
  • Process freight invoices for inbound freight on raw materials and outbound freight on customer shipments
  • Collaborate with Operations to improve cost understanding
  • Advise on cost saving projects and monitor cost savings initiatives
  • GL coding of transactions and production costs
  • Maintain the asset ledger
  • Assist in financial audits
  • Investigate and report bill of material accuracy and precision
  • Provide updates of bill of materials and rates of operation
  • Provide backup to other positions in the Department
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with two to five years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment preferred. An Associate degree with direct match experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment is acceptable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required, as well as the ability to analyze trends and communicate in a timely and effective manner. Works in the details but does not lose sight of the big picture. Proficiency in Excel and ability to use data tools required. QuickBooks and AS400 experience is a plus.
