WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This role supports environmental compliance, data collection, and sustainable practices across both our farming operations and food processing facilities. The successful candidate will support the implementation of environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and best practices. This role is vital in ensuring our commitment to responsible agriculture, resource efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
Regulatory Reporting & Permit Compliance:
- Collect monthly tank inspection records in accordance with SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) plans.
- Collect weekly hazardous waste inspection data in accordance with the HMBP (Hazardous Materials Business Plan).
- Collect and compile data for wastewater discharge permits, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Support compliance and data collection for:
- CUPA (Certified Unified Program Agency) annual inspections.
- DTSC (Department of Toxic Substances Control) documentation for small and large quantity hazardous waste generators.
- CERS (California Environmental Reporting System) for HMBP submissions.
- DOORS (Diesel Off-Road Online Reporting System) for off-road vehicle fleet compliance.
- AG/ILRP (Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program) for agricultural water quality compliance.
Transportation & Vehicle Compliance:
- Monitor CTC-VIS Clean Truck Check Program for compliance.
- Monitor CDL driver compliance through the Trucking Compliance Monitoring System.
- Maintain the tire disposal program in accordance with Cal Recycle regulations.
- Collect and complete reports on transportable engine hours and engine movements to comply with permit requirements.
Administrative & Regulatory Support:
- Process invoices for regulatory agencies and environmental vendors.
- Coordinate and support interactions with Air Pollution Control District (APCD) regulators to ensure compliance with air quality regulations.
- Maintain records and documentation for environmental inspections, permits, and incidents.
- Assist in internal environmental audits and corrective action tracking.
- Provide environmental training or guidance to operations staff (e.g., spill response, hazardous waste handling).
- Stay current on environmental regulations and update internal procedures as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to work outdoors in farming environments.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic data entry/reporting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Internship or volunteer experience related to environmental science, agriculture, or compliance.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, USDA, state agricultural departments).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- 1-2 years’ experience in related field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Primarily office-based with potential visits to operational or field locations.
- Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility to support EHS and HR related events or training.
- Occasional lifting of files or materials (up to 25 lbs.).
- May be required to walk, climb stairs, and work in cold environments.
- Must be able to sit or stand for an extended time frame during work period.
- Will be required to enter production/operations environment.
1st Shift – 7:30 AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, overtime and weekends, may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
