We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Store Operations Manager to successfully grow our Ag supply business in Sonoma County. This position will be based out of our Healdsburg facility, a boutique vineyard and farm supply dealer, providing materials to agriculture workers and companies throughout Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.


The Sales & Operations Manager is a dual-impact role responsible for driving regional sales and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. This leader will blend strategic business development with hands-on operational excellence to deliver results and elevate the customer experience. To accomplish this, they will hold themself and their team accountable to all company policies, procedures, and values. This position will be responsible for the overall financial performance of the facility.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 3 years’ sales management experience 
  • 3 years’ experience managing others.
  • 3+ Agriculture Industry experience required (vineyard management or ag supply).


DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:


Leadership:

  • Serves as the primary leader for both in-store operations and regional sales growth.
  • Coaches employee performance to ensure superior customer service and product knowledge.
  • Addresses employee concerns related to the work environment. 
  • Partners with Human Resources for employee needs (e.g., hiring, pay changes, employee discipline, terminations, etc.).
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions to improve facility performance.


Sales Performance:

  • Responsible for the execution of all sales strategies.
  • Owns and manages a sales process with Leadership.
  • Prospecting, Contacting Leads, Qualifying, Closing, Follow up
  • Ensures pipeline report is updated and accurate.
  • Consistently contacts customers to maintain and build relationships.
  • Reaches out to prospects to gain new business.
  • Assesses customer needs and aligns product solutions. 
  • Understands customers’ business and solves their problems (i.e., assist in resolving technical and delivery problems with the customer).


Operational Results

  • Ensures store is clean, properly merchandised, and safe.
  • Oversees all aspects of facility operations including staffing, merchandising, safety, and customer experience, while aligning store performance with broader regional sales goals.
  • Participates in budgeting and forecasting. Manages productivity metrics for wages against sales and expenses to meet budget.
  • Maintains procedures (e.g., cash handling, special orders, inventory turns, theft, ordering, receiving, price changes, overrides, etc.).
  • Ensures work schedules are completed and communicated to maximize labor based on sales for facility. 


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Understands a facility Income Statement and how to drive net profitability. 
  • Proven results with regards to planning and execution. 
  • Highly developed management, selling, financial and business acumen.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and team building.
  • Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key customer contacts and suppliers.
  • High level of decision-making ability balancing customer needs and company objectives.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Collaborative.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish highly desired
