This is a 12-week internship with start dates from May to June 2026, depending on your availability. Nutanix offers both remote and hybrid internships, where you would work from the San Jose, CA, office 2-3 days a week.

Learn Enterprise UX design best practices
- Responsibility for designing a part of a product under guidance and direction from senior team members
- Participate in user research sessions and learn about end-users
- Seeks to understand the purpose and intent of products and projects
- Acquire and broaden design skills and develop technical domain expertise
- Work with our experienced global design team members
As part of the Global Design organization, we are looking for someone who is interested in Enterprise IT domain and design processes, and whose work demonstrates strong design skills for enterprise product design. We are looking for someone interested in gaining global design experience that can help grow and connect the team with Nutanix offices worldwide.
Each intern is paired with a Member of Technical Staff who serves as a guide/mentor through our engineering culture, toolsets, and development methodology. Our internship program also includes a series of lunch and learns, soft-skill workshops, Intern hack-a-thon, and social gatherings (virtual or in-person where permitted) to expose you to other aspects of a rapidly growing technology company.
Your Role
- Translate research insights into interaction flows to increase product experience
- Create design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant
- Creatively solve design problems with a fair degree of complexity
- Iterate rapidly and inspire with creative approaches
- Participate in the New Hire R&D Bootcamp to gain a high-level understanding of the Nutanix product suite, various tools, and processes
- Participate in U-Hack (Nutanix Intern Hack-a-Thon) which is a way to interact with other R&D interns and derive innovative solutions to various roadblocks across the organization
What You Will Bring
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need
for current or future sponsorship for employment visa status e.g.
F1, H1B, TN, etc - You are pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Art or a related engineering field
- A focus on or interest in Human-Computer Interaction, Human interface Design or similar
- Prior experience in creative tools such as Figma or similar tools
- Knowledge of AI enterprise solutions
- An updated Design portfolio

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 36 and USD $ 60 per hour.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
