Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, CP/ Labor Compliance, the Certified Payroll Manager is responsible for the timely submissions of the certified payroll reporting process to ensure company compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Management and processing of weekly certified payroll reporting for all companies
Supervise the Certified Payroll Specialists (7+) assigned to each project, providing leadership, coaching, mentoring and day-to-day direction of team
Supervise the preparation and distribution of certified payroll reports to ensure compliance
Maintaining status on weekly CP reporting, working to resolve outstanding issues to ensure prompt payment
Process and audit restitution requests for prevailing wage underpayments
Establish positive relationships and customer service with internal and external partners including contractors and labor compliance representatives
Train team/new hires on our ongoing processes and procedures
Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, scanning, etc.
Assist in maintaining all external website labor compliance reporting forums
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager, CP/Labor Compliance
Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):
- 5+ years Certified Payroll Experience, prevailing wage, CA State and Davis Bacon, construction payroll, union payroll
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage rate determinations, and workforce requirements
- Construction union payroll and multi-facility/multi-state location experience preferred
- Expertise in external CP reporting websites (LCP Tracker, CA DIR, LAUSD, Emars, Elations, OCPS, Ecomply WA L&I, Boli, etc)
- Strong technical computer skills including MS Word and advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Ability to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to successfully work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Hours:
This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs.
Physical Demands:
May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Prolonged sitting.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.
Competitive Wages:
$89,000 to $122,750 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
