POSITION SUMMARY
Maintenance Technician 2 will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment. This position is on second shift, working 5:00 pm – 3:30 am Monday -Thursday
CORE FUNCTIONS
• Utilize advanced knowledge as required in diagnosing and repairing our more complex machines. This may include electrical/PLC, mechanical, welding, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
• Learn to operate and keep custom machines running at peak efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime through data-driven analysis.
• Utilize the maintenance ticket system, create work orders, uploading documentation, and updating parts as needed
• Assist with inventory, cataloging parts inventory, and ordering replacement parts and shop supplies.
• Rebuild machines, tools and heavy equipment & create special tools to assist with production (SH edit).
• Work on machine programing as needed and help train and teach new Machine Operators how to operate machines as needed
• Trouble shoot machine issues
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce downtime potential on machines and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous forklift experience required; 5+ years of experience preferred.
• 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines required.
Required Licenses
• Completion of related technical training program, certificate, degree, or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
• Basic computer skills, ability to add, subtract, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
Visual Acuity
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach, performing mechanical or skilled trades’ tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
Working Conditions
• The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
