The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement & Real Estate team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Excellence, you will be responsible for embedding the procurement governance framework and associated ways of working across APA’s divisions - aligning with APA’s Procurement Policy, Standards, and Procedures, and enabling divisional teams to operate effectively within agreed controls and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with business units to embed procurement governance frameworks and ensure alignment with APA’s Procurement Policy, Standards and Procedures.
Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, supply chain risk, and commercial decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that advance procurement maturity and deliver measurable value.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate sourcing and contracting strategies with enterprise objectives.
Support capability uplift by mentoring divisional teams and developing procurement talent pipelines.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence across all procurement activity.
Your background
Degree-qualified in Supply Chain Management, Business, Risk, or Finance (postgraduate qualifications or certifications advantageous).
Proven work experience in procurement governance, strategic sourcing, or supplier relationship management within a large, complex organisation.
Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, risk management, and performance reporting.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of enterprise standards.
Analytical mindset with a passion for process improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Collaborative and proactive, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all procurement activities.
