Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking expressions of interest for a Facilities Manager to support a key government contract within the justice and corrections sector. This secondment offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in a highly regulated and essential environment.

You’ll oversee the operational delivery of contracted services, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance standards are met. You’ll work collaboratively with a small, capable team, subcontractors, and the client to maintain a culture of accountability, service, and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations and service delivery across the site.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, legislative, and BGIS HSEQ requirements.
  • Drive performance against KPI metrics and reporting obligations.
  • Lead, support, and develop team members and subcontractor partners.
  • Oversee financial performance including budgets, procurement, and invoicing.
  • Promote a safe and respectful workplace aligned with BGIS values.

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in Facilities Management, Property, or Maintenance Services.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and stakeholders within a compliance-driven environment.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and relevant safety and quality frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Trade qualification or tertiary study in Facilities, Engineering, or Business.
  • Experience in government or justice-related environments.
