We are seeking a skilled Teradata Developer to join our Data Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and high-performance data warehousing solutions using Teradata. You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros in Teradata.
  • Design and implement data models, ETL processes, and data loading strategies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing Teradata databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Teradata Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Teradata SQL, BTEQ scripting, and utilities.
  • Experience with Teradata Studio and other Teradata tools.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
  • Understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
