Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients incorporating best practice and evidence based research regarding chronic pain. The incumbent will also be responsible for the supervision of students assigned to them. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from a program recognized by the Canadian Physical Therapy Association.
  • Registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists.
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physical Therapy Association.
  • Certification for life support is required.

Experience

  • No previous experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for the service delivery area when required.
  • Knowledge and experience related to working with clients with chronic pain.

Other Information

  • Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
  • This is a community based position providing services in clinic within the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina).  Home base for this position is:  1056 Albert Street.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, where required by the position.
