About The Role

We’re looking for passionate person to join our Butlin’s team in our onsite food warehouse as part of our Buffets department. Our teams create unforgettable experiences for our guests and we are currently looking for an amazing team member to join our warehouse team.

You will ensure the smooth day to day running of our food deliveries in to resort’s Catering Stores, accept and reject deliveries effectively and efficiently as per our food safety policy and organise and put away fresh, frozen and ambient deliveries ensuring the FIFO policy is used at all times.

You will liaise with the Lead Chef on duty on a day-to-day basis in regards to food orders whilst ensuring a high level of cleanliness is always maintained and ensure effective stock management by complying with current legislation with regards to Food Hygiene Regulations.

Working with the team to complete fully the food safety documentation to be maintained as per our company Food Safety policy, use our inhouse system to support weekly stocktakes and in managing our food cost budget by efficient stock management and communication. You will create a relationship with suppliers and communicate effectively to ensure our requirements are met.

Working alongside a fantastic team, we will support you every step of the way to ensure you gain the skills and confidence to truly get stuck in.

A fork lift license is desirable for this role and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is an advantage and full training is provided for all warehouse duties. 

About You

If you have a warm, friendly manner and love to chat to people, we can teach you the ins and outs of working as part of our team. If you do have any previous experience, we would also love to hear from you. You should have an interest to work in a busy warehouse environment with a commitment to consistent deliver with a hands-on working style and the ability to build relationships across the department.

Being a great team player is essential and you should also enjoy the buzz of a busy environment. No day will ever be the same, so you should be happy to try new things and chat to lots of different people.

You should have excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with an accurate attention to detail. 

Typical working hours for this permanent role covers 35 hours per week in a variety of shift patterns between 6am - 3pm, with the possibility of occasional later shifts, 5 days over 7 including weekends.
