Responsibilities
The Reconditioning Manager manages the activities of all reconditioning of used vehicles and the attainment of quality targets. The Reconditioning Manager interacts with the Parts, Service departments and Body Shop to meet customer needs and dealership objectives.
Verify all applicable vehicle information, i.e. vehicle inspection sheet, correct equipment, etc.
Take vehicle to the Service department for Smog, Safety, and Detail.
Inspect repair orders daily for legibility, accuracy and legality. Vehicle cycle time should be 72 hours or less.
Monitor and maintain front line inventory condition.
Resolve customer requests, questions and concerns in a professional, friendly, and prompt manner.
Ensure that all manufacturer policies and procedures are followed.
Inspect and maintain the cleanliness, organization and appearance of all service areas in accordance with state and federal OSHA laws.
Qualifications
Previous automotive dealership used car service department experience
Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
Organizational & Customer Service skills
Time Management – ability to prioritize workload and manage one’s own time
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
