Summary
The ideal candidate is responsible for accurately processing employee payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, verifying timekeeping data, resolving discrepancies, and answering payroll-related inquiries. The Payroll Clerk works closely with HR and accounting teams to ensure timely and correct payment of wages, taxes, and deductions.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Processes payroll for all hotel team members. Reviews accuracy of payroll and deductions and
- reports all discrepancies to supervisor.
- Prepares payroll reports, conducts annual record retention procedures, assist in processing quarterly, year-end closings (Disability, W-2’s).
- Process tips and gratuities.
Internal Relationships
Reports to Hotel Payroll Manager, Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance
External Relationships
Has regular contact with associates
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent required
Education/Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year in related field preferred
- Some hospitality experience preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
