Pre-K Teacher Job Description

Licensure:

• Candidates must hold and or be eligible to hold the Birth-Kindergarten (014) license area.
• Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in early childhood development;
• Examples of related courses include:
• Child Development, Early Childhood, Psychology
• Eligibility for the residency entry license must be established prior to a contract offer.
• K-6 licensed candidates (with at least 24 semester hours of Early Childhood coursework) will be considered but must be willing to obtain a provisional license and complete the requirements to obtain B-K licensure
