We are looking for: Veterinary Scheduling Coordinator
This role provides a high level of client service. In this role, the individual enhances communication and provides support between referring veterinarians, clients, veterinarians, and all team members of the department.
What you’ll do:
- Answer and respond to all phone calls from clients, Referral Partners and Pharmacies, log all conversations, as well as check and log voicemails
- Answer incoming calls as back up to the switchboard coordinator
- Call for referral information on new/recheck patient appointments
- Coordinate with clinical team and update departmental schedule calendar
- Check for incoming referral faxes at the front desk and/or communication center
- Organize records in hard charts for next day specialty appointments
- Check appointment emails throughout the day
- Email any electronic records/x-rays to perspective department and all x-rays to radiology
- Fax referral letters (depending on location)
- Make copies if needed: Client handouts, cage sheet change forms
- Call clients to remind of appointments & drop-offs for the next day
- Monitor supplies needed for the department, as well as clean and stock areas as needed
