Core Hours
On-Call Only | 12-hour shift during inclement weather
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Position Duties

Key Responsibilities

As a Snow Removal Operator, you will:

• Safely operate pickup trucks with plows, snow removal machines, and hand tools such as shovels to clear snow and ice from roads, parking areas, and access points.
• Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to improve road traction and safety.
• Monitor changing weather and road conditions to determine snow removal priorities.
• Inspect and maintain equipment before, during, and after use to ensure proper operation.
• Work independently or with a team under direction of Shawneeland Sanitary District Manager.
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications during snow or ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to respond on short notice during inclement weather.
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold and demanding winter conditions.
• Entry-level, no prior experience operating plow equipment trucks, skid steers, tractors, or similar snow removal equipment necessary.
