About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join us in New York. This role will play a key part in shaping and executing our people strategy across multiple regions. The HR team partners closely with business leaders to drive performance, build capability, and ensure a culture of inclusion and excellence.

As a strategic advisor, this role will be pivotal in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, managing complex employee relations matters, and delivering scalable people solutions that enable growth. The Senior HRBP will work with senior stakeholders globally, supporting initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

What You’ll Do 

  • Independently lead and close out PIPs/ER issues.
  • Build strong relationships with managers to enable coaching dialogue on all people topics including performance management, giving and receiving feedback, and organizational design, resulting in improved performance outcomes and talent development.
  • Lead the movement of TA team members over to be fully papered at EquiLend (own and orchestrate the TUPE consultation process).
  • Support the CPO and consultants on the successful project management and execution of the PEO to fully ensured benefits transition in the US by EOY 2026.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers across the organization, aligning HR strategy with business goals and supporting organizational growth.
  • Provide coaching and advisory support to managers to build leadership capabilities and enhance team performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues across the US and EMEA, managing complex cases with sound judgment.
  • Support succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Facilitate the performance review process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive culture and high levels of retention.
  • Partner with global HR colleagues to ensure consistency in employee experience across offices.
  • Design systems and processes to report on global HR metrics that measure organizational health and talent performance. Manage the data and report out on it as needed, including for board materials.
  • Support business-wide learning needs and coordinate learning and development programs in the US, including leadership development and ad hoc training initiatives.
  • Partner with Legal to codify and, where needed, publish HR policies and procedures for the employee base.
  • Shape and reinforce culture through HR practices that promote inclusion, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements in the US, UK, and EU, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Project-manage strategic HR initiatives, including M&A integrations as they arise.
  • Play a lead role on compensation strategy, headcount planning, and other high-impact projects that support growth and scalability.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify future workforce needs and ensure a seamless hiring experience aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead periodic organizational health assessments and drive follow-up action plans with business leaders.
  • Contribute to the development of equitable and competitive total rewards frameworks across regions.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that strengthen belonging and representation across teams. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 8+ years of HR business partnering experience, with a track record of independently supporting a business unit(s) of meaningful size across the full spectrum of HR matters (talent, performance, employee relations, development, compensation, change).
  • Experience within technology or financial services, ideally in a global, high-growth, and scaling environment.
  • Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives, influencing senior stakeholders and driving organizational outcomes.
  • Data-driven and metrics-focused, with the ability to assess impact and demonstrate results against key people and business KPIs.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and employment practices across the US (UK and EU are nice to have), with proven expertise in managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Strong background in performance management, succession planning, and leadership development, with the ability to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in managing HR projects such as M&A integrations, organizational transformation, or large-scale change initiatives.
  • Possess a servant leadership mindset, feeling responsibility for identifying opportunities for improvement and pursuing initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and partner effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and proactive, with the ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and data interpretation skills to support strategic workforce decisions.
  • Shows proficiency with HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday or similar) for data reporting and process management.
  • Displays sound judgment and discretion when managing confidential or sensitive employee matters.
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, seeking efficiencies in HR processes and programs.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional partners including Finance, Legal, and Operations to deliver holistic business support.

  • Compensation: The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000, plus a performance-based annual bonus. This range is a general guideline; final offers consider factors such as role scope, candidate experience, internal equity, and market factors.
